Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
InkBytes is built privacy-first. We collect as little as the product needs to work, we don't sell your data, and we don't run an advertising or tracking business. This page explains what that means in practice.
What we collect
- Account information — the email and basic details you provide to create an account.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor. We don't store your card details.
- Minimal analytics — aggregate usage to understand what's read and keep the service fast. Reader analytics use salted IP hashes and resolve approximate location via GeoIP, then discard the raw IP — we keep the signal, not the identifier.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We don't run third-party ad networks or attention-tracking profiles.
- We don't build a behavioral feed designed to maximize your time on the product.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed to sign you in and remember basic preferences. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and nothing is pre-ticked.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, write to privacy@inkbytes.news.
